your first class

Begin with our signature practice. The Classic is a set sequence designed to be accessible yet challenging enough for those wishing to progress within a structured format. The practice is well-rounded which makes it sustainable as a daily practice. Perfect when learning because it allows time to explore every pose.
Looking for a more relaxing experience? Try the Calm class for a greater emphasis on meditation and stretching.
Class always begins on time, no one is permitted to enter late. Please arrive at least 5 minutes early.
It is recommended to bring a mat, towel and water with you to class. We have mats and mat towels available for rent and glass jars that you can grab and fill with water if needed.
We use mat markers (little stickers on the ground) to organize the space. The top left corner of your mat goes right over the marker. We ask that the practice space be kept silent and tech free (only your mat towel and water in the room with you). Cell phones can be left in your bag in the change room or at the front desk.
It's hot (40 C/ 100 F) and humid! We recommend minimal clothing (i.e. shorts and a tank) and a water bottle. Some prefer a mat towel to help prevent slipping (you can rent one at the studio to see if its right for you!). Lay down on the mat and rest whenever you need to - it's much cooler by the floor.
The first one is intense, your body will acclimate more efficiently the more you practice!
We’ve got showers in the change rooms and Dr. Bromners foaming peppermint soap to use as body wash after.
We’re located downtown and our entrance is on the lakeside.
Downtown can get busy, come early to find parking in one of the nearby public lots!
Parking is free after 5pm and on weekends and holidays. It is also free to park in any parking lot that the Barrie resident pass is valid for; we are a short walk away from some of these lots.
Our entrance is on the Lakeshore Mews lot which is just across from the Heritage Parking lot. These spaces are covered by the Hotspot parking app.
